In the Time of Covid-19

The pandemic, and its lockdowns, were both a blessing and a curse for all artists, and photographers more than most. And because my work largely relies on the ‘real’ world for its apparent subject matter - I use no AI tools beyond simple contrast adjustment and the like - the lockdowns presented a particular problem. Nothing to photograph. I responded by making still life images at home, often using objects purchased online. And as restrictions eased I took the opportunity to document and respond to this extraordinary time.
