Hound Trailing & Other 'Hits'
My first major touring show, from 1990, followed a hound trailing family in the Lake District. Later I photographed Jack Manning, a Flookburgh net fisherman, and made a number a number of other series during my time as a journalist. I've also included some pictures of the oil shale bings (slag heaps) of West Lothian. As the years passed my work became more allusive, and increasingly drew on Japanese aesthetic principles, as well as modernism in 'western' art.
